There's a message in the snow from the past! Looks like Gary will be taking us back in time to the prehistoric era. Check out those fashions in the Clothes shop, and get excited because on January 22nd, backyards are coming to Club Penguin! To read the first few parts of "Secrets Of The Wilderness" click here!

The Puffle Hotel

By now, you most likely know that you can't get the rainbow puffle for a minimum of 72 hours (3 days) from beginning your first challenge. This means that some insanely addicted penguins will most likely go on it after each 18 hours, complete the challenge, and then get the rainbow puffle as soon as possible. I will most likely get the puffle next week, so it's not actually very fun, waiting. After all, we have been waiting since the rumours started! Anyway, here's the Puffle Hotel from the Plaza. As you can see, all the buildings are beginning to look a lot squished. Considering the size of the other buildings, the puffle hotel should be really thin...
...But on the inside, all the buildings are the same! There's a reception, a coat check, puffle hats and food, a wonderful fountain, a door to the pet shop and of course the elevator! Don't forget to relax on those comfortable chairs, or become a worker at the hotel!
...The only thing I would say is - it's not much of a hotel if it doesn't have any rooms to stay in. But, anyway, here you can run on the treadmill with your puffles at the gym, or soak them in bubbles with the spa!
At the rooftop you can eat your food (remember you can click on the plates at the bottom to get them to change to pizza, cookies and all sorts!) and play in the pool. Plus, you can have a snooze and launch the cannon to get into the Cloud Forest and adopt the legendary RAINBOW PUFFLE!
And remember, these rooms will stay FOREVER!

Puffle Party 2013 Fact File

Echo006: Here's the Puffle Hotel Fact File! First, we'll answer some questions...

Is Hotel Puffle is permanent? Yes. The hotel will remain after the Puffle Party. You can get a bite or swim on the roof with your puffle whenever you want!

Are we able to adopt rainbow puffles after the party? Absolutely. You can continue to adopt these new puffles majestic and magical when the party is over, at the Pet Shop.

The rainbow puffle is only for members? Yes, it is. After completing the quest for the rainbow puffles, members can propel themselves through the clouds and adopt a puffle rainbow sky. Other players can pamper their red and blue puffles in Puffle Hotel or even work to earn coins!

Does PH come for the party? Of course! PH will be there for the opening of the Hotel Puffle. She will help you to become experts and also help find the rainbow puffles!

Where and when PH comes? For the moment I do not know the exact dates of her visits. But I know she will spend much time at the hotel. There will also be many arranged meetups too, if you're lucky enough to get hold of any of them!

Next - here's what is happening!

The Puffle Party will start in a few hours. The puffle hotel will be built, and all penguins can enter the hotel. There is a lobby, spa, gym and a rooftop! Remember, it will reach the clouds! All penguins will be asked to do four different challenges before adopting the rainbow puffle from the cannon. Members will be rewaded with coins, and items, however non-members will only earn coins. After you have completed the 4 challenges (which will include running at the gym, and all sorts), you will earn a bag of o-berries and then become a Puffle Expert. Travel up to the rooftop, launch in the cannon, and enter the special party room - THE CLOUD FOREST!

After you've pampered your rainbow puffle, you'll discover that it can fart mysterious purple stuff and you can figure out it's favourite activities, and what it does when it dances! Take it home, walk it, put a hat on it. There are so many options - remember to watch it have a bath, and see what happens when you brush its hair! But the most important thing is - after receiving a new puffle, NEVER ever forget your old puffles.

The EPF

The EPF is the secret agency which watches over Club Penguin and tries to keep it safe. EPF Agents receive 350 coins every month, totalling up to 4,200 coins per year! The EPF is located at the "Everyday Phoning Facility" (in the Ski Village). The EPF hasn't always been on Club Penguin. It's first appearance arrived with the first ever DS Game, which my sister and I shared. It took me ages to complete all the missions, and alot of reading, but eventually I found myself at the end of them. Back in those days, the PSA was the only secret agency to be known on Club Penguin, until the DS game arrived. Penguins could get into the EPF Command Room, hidden in a wardrobe, and enter a brand new room. That all changed in the last mission of the PSA.

...When the Sports Shop (located at the Ski Village, and the PSA base) was exploded with popcorn, the PSA stopped and the EPF took over. I can remember first meeting Dot with Bouncer in Mission 1 of the EPF DS Game (back then, she had long hair - I think she cut it to help with her disguises) and then seeing her again in the PSA. Now, the EPF has many agents including;
  • Gary The Gadget Guy (Used to work for PSA - creates all gadgets)
  • The Director/Aunt Arctic (Writes newspaper, works for secret agencies)
  • Dot (Used to have long hair, then cut it short - excellent at disguises)
  • Rookie (First seen in Mission 3 of PSA, nickname because he is new to the team)
  • Jet Pack Guy (worked for PSA, and now EPF - has a jetpack)
  • Me (Done every single mission possible and ready for the EPF to rebuild)

Back in the EPF DS game, we were up against a robot called the Protobot (Gary created three robots before, hoping they would help him with work, then they turned evil, found his blueprints and built the Protobot, the ultimate robot leader who last appeared in May 2012). In the early PSA missions, we were learning about Herbert and his sidekick. Eventually, we almost captured them, until they exploded the Sports Shop. Since then, we had two unsuccesful missions: We tried to capture Herbert while in hibernation, but he escaped! More recently, he tried created Operation Blackout, and escaped - again. The main bad guy currently is Herbert. He's a polar bear who likes the sun - a brilliant original idea. Now, ever since the blackout, the EPF has been destroyed and we're currently repairing it. So far, Field-Ops are offline, and maybe soon we will get some new EPF missions. We'll just have to wait and see.

The Belt ~ Fact File

Have you noticed a tiny detail at the Ski Village? There's a belt on the Ski Lift. But why? It's time to find out more about this mysterious belt...
...Back in August 2007, there was an avalanche caused by Herbert. This also caused the ski lift to stop working, so penguins couldn't get up. This included dancing penguin, who usually hangs around Club Penguin in different missions. He asked us to fix the Ski Lift, so you've got to find something, but where?
Back in those days, the Sports Shop hadn't been destroyed. Again, another thing caused by Herbert. So, by grabbing a belt of a penguin statue, it would cause his trousers to fall down! Apparently, it was fun!
...Then, penguins placed it onto the ski lift. It was one, very strong belt. It should do the trick, until G can fix it. So, this means that G never fixed it! Or did he?
For at the old Ski Village, there was no belt to be found. So, either this belt is different or it just got lost in the snow and wind during the blackout.
Luckily, Rory and his workers fixed it again, by adding the belt. Gary should really fix this soon!

Fact File ~ Hide and Seek

If you're playing Hide and Seek ~ there are some rules. First, play with a penguin who isn't your friend so they can't cheat to find you ;) And don't hide anywhere where somebody can see your name. This means that you have to hide at the bottom of the screen so your penguin cannot be seen and your name is covered by the chat bar. Let's take a look at some of the new places where you can hide. First, if you don't know this hiding place ~ then you really can't play. It's at the forest hidden behind a tree :) Both will work but you may need to sit sideways so your flipper isn't showing. These pictures will not show the chat bar so you can see where you will be hiding.
The same applies at the Dock. This is very thin, so you will need to sit down ~ but you will never be found! It's a brilliant hiding place as nobody ever thinks to look there :) Sadly, these hiding places won't last for very long now as all the rooms will be updated. This is why you must find hiding places in the new rooms...
...Like the updated pet shop! Though it was updated last year, not many penguins know that they can hide in the kennel for the pets :) In fact, you can get 5 penguins in there at a time ~ if you're playing with more than one penguin.
...And now for a new hide and seek place. Simply hide under the table and nobody will ever see you. You can listen to what other penguins are talking about ~ brilliant!
...There will be more hiding places to come soon when the big update arrives. You can even hide in the Town under a pile of snow :) There are so many other different hiding places and it's up to you to find them! Discover, explore, be adventurous like your puffles. Let me know if you find any more hiding places ;)

The Latest Quest ~ Fact File

Recently, Scorn (the dragon king) arrived at Club Penguin. We all defeated him eventually! But not after an exhausting climb up the mountain. It was better just to teleport there. After you have the three needed items you may enter and cross the bridge of doom. So let's start the climb! Not sure I'd like to have a picnic right by lava but I did stop there one time...and got burnt!
...You've got everything you need except a cape ~ just walk along this scary bridge that could fall at any moment and slip your flipper over the side and grab it without falling off. Job done!
...This is where you come face to face with Scorn to bring peace back to the island of Club Penguin. After the first week, the Sky Kingdom returned to normal and Scorn's statue rotted.
But, look here! Posters and statues of scorn all over. Hmm, I guess we didn't defeat him after all!
That's how to complete Quest 4 ~ but what about the other three? I've done them like a million times!

Beyond The Mountains ~ Fact File

Beyond the mountains, legend says that an ancient penguin (known as Sensei) built a dojo. This was before many of the other penguins were around. He was never seen until Halloween 2008 when lightning struck the Dojo. Penguins began digging to find the arts of Card-Jitsu. A grey penguin appeared and many wondered who he was. Ninjas were also spotted and then the rumour became true. The courtyard opened on November 14th 2008. Penguins can begin their journey by entering the double doors however on the inside of the Dojo only one door is found. Like many of the rooms in Club Penguin, they all have small details missing.
...Inside the Dojo there are four mats to practise Card-Jitsu. Every so often, ninjas will appear outside the windows of the Dojo. Another tiny detail: the ninjas cannot be seen from the Courtyard. There was once a rumour that if you stood still here for thirty minutes you would become a ninja. I tried it once ~ it never worked until Sensei came along. This room was once empty and I can remember how it was decorated. For example, when the water party was on there was a giant octopus in the room. There was once a book in the Library called Lime Green Dojo featuring a penguin who had to clean the Dojo. This was before Sensei came and the book is now removed for further space.
...Next we come to the Ninja Hideout. This room is for ninjas only once you have completed card-jitsu. Becoming a ninja was far easier back in 2008 and 2009 as lots of penguins wanted to become one. Now, most of the population are and it is harder to find penguins to play with. You should always try to become a fire, water, snow ninja when the celebration first begins. Remember to go on high severs or play with a friend. This room also contains a catalog for members to buy. It contains furniture and was updated with clothing a while ago. In the middle of the room, you can see an amulet. Once you are a ninja of an element the element on the floor will shine and a new stone will be placed on your amulet which can be obtained from the catalog. For a short while during 2011 at the Card-Jitsu party non-members were able to become water ninjas and fire ninjas. Enter a door to find the water and fire dojos. The Snow Dojo is believed to be placed on the right, opposite the fire dojo. This is a great place to hide when playing hide and seek as when a penguin clicks on the find button on your playercard it will say you are hiding. Now, let's proceed...
This is the Fire Dojo. It is bursting with flames and hot sauce. Two ancient statues can be seen along with two giant lanterns of fire. There can be up to four players playing Card-Jitsu Fire and there are 8 possible stamps to collect. The instructions are on the wall and you can also ask Sensei how to play. This room is also known as the Volcano. This erupted on September 14th 2009. Apparently, non-members can play in this room using this link http://play.clubpenguin.com/?login=true&rm=812#/login/
...Next we come to the Water Dojo. Our last stop is this room ;) This room opened on Novemeber 16th 2010 when a storm approached the island. Apparently, non-members can enter this room by this link http://play.clubpenguin.com/?login=true&rm=816#/login/ The water dojo is full of water and two ancient statues are here like in the Fire Dojo. The fish that can be seen in one of the statues was put into the water dojo when we found the water objects ~ it then decided to live here. You can see Sensei in this room just like the Fire Dojo and the Dojo. This is not possible as Sensei can only be at one place at one time ~ but these are only clones as you will not get the stamp when you enter the room.
Looking at what has happend so far ~ the weather changed when the Fire Dojo appeared, and it also changed when the water dojo appeared. I think that when the Snow Dojo comes (hopefully soon?) there will be a blizzard or something like that. There is rumour of the Shadow Ninjas ~ these are just a rumour and a sketch that the Club Penguin team made up. Don't believe all the rumours you here, young grasshopper.

The Underground ~ Fact File

It's been a long time since I've done some Fact Files ~ so I've created a few more. This Fact File will take you on a tour to places not listed on the map, underground Club Penguin! Let's start at the Boiler Room. This room can be accesed from the cave or by the speaker in the Night Club. The room was first seen in Penguin Chat 3 (the old version of Club Penguin)
If you enter the green door, you will come to the cave also known as the pool. Through the windows you can see crabs and fish (I think this is the Underwater Room, but no windows are found there, but where else could it be?) To get to this room, you must either enter by the boiler room or the mine or the manhole in the Plaza. What I don't understand is, the boiler room is under the night club, then suddenly the cave is under the Plaza and the mine is well, the mine! If you look at these places on the map you'll see what I mean.

In the Mine, you will find two games. Cart Surfer and Puffle Rescue. Puffle Rescue was opened when a tunnel was found by some explorers and puffles. This was where Yarr (Rockhopper's Puffle) got trapped. Soon, the tunnel was opened up for everyone to explore. That's pretty much all there is in the mine.

Now we come to a more interesting part in the underground caverns. The three other rooms were opened to all penguins on May 29th 2006. This part of the underground was opened January 22nd 2010. Back then, you had to dig for gems to get into the Hidden Lake. Now, using the Jackhammer which can be found in the corner you can dig for coins. The highest amount of coins to find is a bag which contains 100. You must throw snowballs into a machine for the lighting to work.

The next room contains a hidden lake. It was opened in January 22nd 2010 and then re-opened in March 15th 2010 where you didn't need the gem to get in as it was open to everyone. The ladder was made in the Adventure Party leading to the forest. To get into the next room, you have to be a member and know how to rescue black puffles ;)

...This room is the Underwater Room. It should be impossible to stay in here for more than five minutes but no, penguins can breathe water? I'm not too sure but this room is full of water. This room opened in the Cave Expedition where penguins could get a free background. Then, when the room re-opened only members could enter but they had to use the Moss Key to get in. To do this, you had to follow a shadow in Puffle Rescue. If you throw a snowball (which is impossible because there is no snow here) it will be a bubble (that sounds more like it).

That is the end of the fact file underground. That's everything you need to know about these hidden rooms. I hope that there will one day be three MORE underground rooms ~ that would be awesome!

The Coffee Shop

Things have never been the same since they redesigned the entire coffee shop. Here is how it used to look:

The Book Room was also redesigned and turned into the Club Penguin Times Office. This is now one of the best rooms to find Aunt Arctic ~ as she is the head writer of the well-known newspaper.

This is how the office looks now. It is well decorated and the graphics have been updated. The bookcase was moved further up in the corner and the mancala tables have been moved further left so we don't trip over them.

The floor ground of the Coffee Shop has been given a fruity theme as the new game "Smoothie Smash" appeared. Bean Counters moved down the room to where the employees only door is placed. It was not visible in the old Coffee Shop but could be seen in the DS Game missions.

Now, I have looked around at a few of the details and this is what I have noticed...
...Bean Counters has been moved and a big arrow has been added to show people who can't find things easily (like me)

The Smoothie Smash game is in the left hand corner. This game has 16 stamps three of them which are very easy ~ to make a smoothie for three characters.

Those of you have been up in the Book Room at Christmas will remember the present station that the elves worked on. This machine is very similar. Will Club Penguin decorate this room for Christmas (because Aunt Arctic is very fussy)

The couches are much nicer and the door is more modern as is the window. There is a small light switch for detail and a table containing an apple, a newspaper, an empty cup of coffee and another empty cup with one of those umbrella things in it. Do you like the new coffee shop?

977th Post I'm a V.I.P ~ Fact File

Did you know that I have been to every single Music Jam parties over the last 4 years? For proof, check out my V.I.P pass from 2008! But now, Club Penguin have decided to ruin Music Jam by adding two stars from Shake It Up! First, Club Penguin has a chaos war, and now a dance party with Rocky and CeCe? Ever since Disney joined Club Penguin, all they have done is advertise! This has gone too far...

Puffle Party 2012 Fact File

Since the Puffle Party is almost over, I thought I'd write a little Fact File about it! Sorry that there isn't any pictures, but I didn't know how or where to find any. Here's how it all began...
PH the Puffle Handler prepared this years puffle party. She was first seen in the EPF DS game helping the agent to train the puffles. Back then, her colour was pink and she had a plain and simple cap. When she returned in 2012, she had a brown colour. Little did we know that she had changed this in 2011 because the Brown Puffles had been found!  She returned in the next DS game and then arrived on the island in March 2011, when she refurbished the Pet Shop and added a new game called Puffle Launch which has been turned into an app for other devices. In September 2011, she decided that puffles should have hats and later on in the year she added a new game called Pufflescape which was tested by the Beta Team. Then it was found that she is Australian as she appeared in an advertisement for Australia Day and has many different catchphrases like G'Day mate. In 2012 she went over the top to celebrate an awesome Puffle Party, where penguins turned into Puffles! Even the name, Club Penguin, transformed into Club Puffle! There was a complete Puffle Play Zone with tons of decorations around the island. The party started on March 15 and ended on the 27th. At the Gift Shop penguins could pick out different coloured outfits depending on their favourite colours, for both boys and girls!  More hats for puffles were added and new furniture the week before the party started. Puffle Party Preparations began and boxes of different colours were added to the island, however no Orange Puffle Box appeared. From then, we knew that penguins would transform into puffles, which they did in the next week! Even a GIANT Puffle was spotted by PH, although this was only penguins dressed in costumes in different colours. The party was a great success indeed, all different colours were decorated around the island, even a Puffle Play Zone was created along with a spa, where members turned into puffles! Since CPIP in 2008 at the april fools party nobody had ever been seen as a puffle. It was very strange being a Puffle, but it was defiantly a great experience.  Non-Members could enter the Puffle Show room for the first time! Once members had transformed into puffles, they could use the dance, wave and sit buttons to play with a toy, sleep and bounce up and down! Every different puffle room was unique and improved. My favourite room had to be the Green Puffle Room as it was packed full of decorations unlike last year. There were three free items, a polka dot hat for both penguins and puffles and a 1st prize background from the Puffle Show Room. While all this was going on, a small St. Patricks day party was being held at the Mine Shack where a double rainbow was seen! This has to be the best puffle party yet! Will it be better next year? Time will tell...

Koi Fish - Fact File

Every month, I will post a Fact File about something on Club Penguin! This month it is the Koi Fish.

Koi Fishes are extremely rare to Club Penguin. Only few have these kind of fish. There are two types, blue and red. The blue Koi Fish is the latest pin out now at the Snow Forts!

The red Koi Fish pin was hidden at the Cove in 2009. It got moved to the corner when the fair arrived.

I have one of the rarest types of Koi Fish. It was available from a long time ago in a Better Igloos catalog.
The latest version of the Koi Fish was available in April 2011. It appeared in a Waterfall Pond which costed 500 coins.

Here are some facts about the Koi Fish:

  • A Koi is on a gong in the Ninja Hideout
  • At the Medival Party 2009, many Koi fish were swimming on a fountain at the Attic. You could also feed these creatures.
  • Players can also see the Koi Fish in the play at the stage called "Fairy Fables".
Have you seen a Koi Fish? They are one of the most rarest creatures in Club Penguin! One Koi Fish survived in 2010. It was poured into a machine and transported to the Water Dojo. You can see it now today!
Have you seen any Koi Fish around lately? What should next months fact file be about? Comment here.
