The Newspaper ~ Issue #399

The newspaper is out and this week it's Issue #399! Can you believe that I remember when the CP Times had it's 150th edition! Soon, they'll be celebrating #400 issues - how cool is that? Here's the top stories for this week. You'll have to head over to CP to read more ;) Here's a scare games update!
We're also taking an in focus tour of the forest and the cove!
And check out what's coming up...
I can't wait for next week - 400th issue of the Penguin Times :D

A Two Headed Neon Flamingo

Over at the Coffee Shop, I was chatting with a two headed neon flamingo. I didn't really understand his language, but I guessed that he enjoyed his coffee.
...He's now a great friend of mine. He said he's stopped at Club Penguin for two weeks while he waits for his flamingo friends. So if you'd like to speak to him, head over to the Coffee Shop in the next two weeks :) He'll never ever be back after that...
You did realise that he was only a pin, right?

Here's the June Monster Furniture Catalog! It includes many different Monster styles for your igloo...
First up, we have three new items for a monster university igloo!
Next, we have some Monsters Inc items which would make the perfect scaring room from Monsters Inc!
Next we have the Monster Library from the University. This would be perfect for your library igloos...
The banners are here! Celebrate your fraternity with these Pennants, and 3D shapes as well as a Monster Boombox!
These are the perfect items for the student lounge!

A few blog posts...

Here are two blog posts from Polo Field and a POTD from Daffodaily ;)
Hey Penguins!
Last week we showed you the official trailer for the Disney/Pixar Monsters University Takeover! At Club Penguin's first ever Scare Games, you'll get to join a scare team - just like the ones in the Monsters University movie. Pick the one that suits your scare style and compete to win a scary awesome prize!
Here's the low-down on the four rival teams:

Roar Omega Roar: Are your scare abilities top notch? Are you the best of the best? Then ROR is where you want to be.
Jaws Theta Chi: JOX are natural born frighters, who love the scare of the game!
Python Nu Kappa: Do you hide your inner monster behind a scarismatic smile? PNK's got the flair to scare!
Oozma Kappa: Don't underestimate these determined underdogs - they've got plenty of heart to take it to the top!
I'm opting for OK 'cos I've got that go-getter attitude! Which frightening fraternity or scary sorority will you choose, and why? In the upcoming weeks, we'll announce which teams the other bloggers will be joining to fright alongside you! So stay tuned.

Last week we asked, what is your favorite subject in school and why?
I really enjoyed Pingafass123's answer:
My 1# favourite subject is of course ART! I love art because you can just keep drawing and sketching and there's no right or wrong! Your an artist in many ways and art is fun! Every thing is art and it's just so fun creating master pieces and beautiful drawings! My art teacher always says " never give up everythings art''! That is why art is my favourtive subject!.

There's so many ways to earn stamps around the island, with new ones always coming along.  How many stamps have you earned so far, and which one was the hardest one to get?
We'll pick one comment to feature in next week's Reviewed by You. If your review is featured next week, we'll add 10,000 coins to your account. Don't forget to use your penguin name so we can add the coins! Looking forward to reading all your comments!
Waddle on,

My Ninja Stampbook

After 5 years of training, I have finally mastered all the elements :) It took me ages to complete each quest - ninja, fire, water and snow. I have loved every minute of battling with my teammates. It has been a great journey, but now it has come to an end. To celebrate, I have created a stampbook of memories...
..The two Sensei stamps are to show how much Sensei has been a part of my ninja life. Without Sensei, the Dojo would still be empty. Then you will notice the two hard stamps and the medium stamp. Those are mastering the elements of fire, water and snow. I don't like the fact that the snow stamp is medium, only because it doesn't match the colours of the other stamps. And in the middle, is my complete amulet. I have carried the amulet ever since the Ninja Hideout was opened and until it closed. My ninja stampbook represents 5 years of challenges. From November 2008, to here. Ok, maybe 4 and a half years ;) But I have succeeded, and I hope that the new challenges we will face will be far greater than any others. And I still ask that question: why in all of the amulet stamps is the black stone in the middle filled in? What does it represent? Are we going to find out? Why is it there? Only time will tell...

Monsters University Pixar Studios

Check out what the Pixar Studio has done to their own studio...they've turned it into a monsters university :D

I reached level 44 in the sea levels!

In Puffle Rescue, I reached level 44 with 93,000 coins! That's a new record :D

And the extreme stamp for the sea levels is to reach level 30 with 5 lives - but I reached level 43 with 5 lives ;)

My Penguin 1.1

I am typing this from thr iPad, as it is much easier to share the photos with you than to email them to the computer :)
My Penguin 1.1 is awesome! For a start, I wouldn't be a Snow Ninja and have ALL the items without the iPad. But there was one time when I was stuck with Tusk on my own :(
The amount of sushi I have been getting is crazy! I've already got 20 pieces saved up, and that's not like me. What's best is the amount of coins I have now! I just played the sea levels of Puffle Rescue, got to level 38 and got 70,000 coins in about 10 or 15 minutes! Take a look...
I've already got 570,000 coins and I heard that you can only reach the maximum of 1 million! Oops :) In fact, I didn't even have to go online to do my clothes shopping - it was all in the catalog for me, as well as some exclusive items...
I'm still tryIng to master all the levels of Pufflescape, and I hope in the 1.2 update that we'll get exclusive furniture and we'll be able to decorate our igloos on the go! How cool would that be? Thanks CP for making this epic new update :)

The Scare Games ~ So Far...

Me and my friends Bubsey and Pingy have made a story called the Scare Games. Eventually, the scare games will happen in this story. We're all monsters, and this is my side of the story. (We each make up a different part for each day and we have our own view of that day...) This is only my part so far - you can read Bubsey's and Pingy's at http://clubpenguineight.blogspot.co.uk/ where all the parts are posted daily :)

I'm just a normal penguin. But that all changed, the day I was taken away. And now here I am, with Bubsey and Pingywin at Monsters University. I woke up, feeling cold. The room was dark, and I wondered why the sun hadn't rose. Then I realised, that overnight, using my shadow powers, I had cast a shadow over the island of Club Penguin. Nobody else had the power to do that. I quickly manouvered around my messy bedroom and controlled the shadows with my powers. Quickly, I closed my curtains and ran back to my comfortable bed. I hadn't a clue what would happen next. I was planning to sleep all day. But I noticed my closet door creak open. It wouldn't usually do that, as it was always firmly shut. I sat up, wondering if somebody was in there.
"Bubsey?" I shouted at the door. No answer. I decided it must of been the strong powers of the shadows. Nothing happened. A few hours later, I heard a growling noise. Then, out of the closet, came a small monster.
"What're you doing sleeping in the penguin world?" The small monster asked.
"Uh, just taking a nap. Who are you?" I replied.
"I'm Scott Squishy Squibbles!" replied the monster with 5 eyes. "Let's get you back to your studies, buddy. What's your room number?"
"I don't have one!" I replied, confused.
"Don't worry, uh what's your name."
"Echo." I replied swiftly.
"Don't worry, Echo. Dr. Rufus Oozeman will find you a room! Now come with me, through the closet." I had no idea what was happening, but I just followed Scott through the closet. I gawped at the amount of monsters which were here. Quickly, I was ushered to my room and found myself sitting alone in a room which was meant for three monsters. Before long, to my surprise, Bubsey arrived! We spoke a few words to each other, but were interrupted when Pingy arrived in the room. I wondered why we were all here in this monster world...

My flippers were trembling. Ok, I was good at normal maths, but not monster maths and I certainly had no idea about scaring! Why didn't they just make the children laugh instead? The exam had started. I wanted to call Bubsey for help, but Professor Knight had split us up. For the first time, I realised I had ginger fur! I quickly pulled out my ID card Bubsey have me. I looked weird. I answered the first few questions with ease. But as the test continued, I didn't have a clue what the question even was! By the end of the exam, I was shattered and it seemed like Bubsey and Pingy were too.
"I found that really hard." I said to them.
"Actually, it was ok for me. I could do all the maths in it." replied Pingy.
We walked down the hall into the campus. We had collected lots of information about Monsters University and this was it so far....
Lunchtime was next and we were going to meet Aunt Arctic...But since there were 11 dining facilities, how would we find her in this massive university? In fact, how would we get back?
