Tour Guide's First Post

Now we know what the new three limited edition emotes will be! Tour Guide now shows us one and previously, Polo Field showed us the other two :)
Hi Everyone,

Tour Guide here with my first blog post ever! You may not know me, but I spend lots of time with Polo and the team! I'm always busy reading your comments, and giving tours online.

In my line of work, I meet a lot of amazing penguins with tons of great questions. And I want to answer as many as I can!

Today I've got answers to your Marvel Super Hero Takeover questions.

Will last year’s Marvel costumes return? They sure will! You’ll have another chance to suit up as all your favorite Marvel characters. We can’t wait to see all your crazy Hulk, Loki, and Black Widow outfits. AND there will be new surprises... Marvel costumes you've never seen before.

What kinds of new activities will there be? Fasten your flippers! There’ll be two brand new mini-games, available only during the party. One for heroes. One for villains. So pick your side!

Which Mascot will visit? Just like last year, Aunt Arctic will be there on the ground to cover the clash between good and evil! Stay tuned to the blog for dates and times.

What will non-members be allowed to do? Non-members can join a side to protect or destroy Penguintropolis! And everyone can play the new super hero and super villain games! Flippertastic!

Thanks for sending in all your questions! Here’s a question for all you Tour Guide Troopers… What are you most excited to experience at the Marvel Superhero Takeover?

Best fishes!

The Club Penguin News

Welcome to Club Penguin News at seven o'clock. Today we look at crystals, hot sauce crimes, and future events! Let's start with the latest news. Crystals have been sighted in many places around the island, such as the Beach, Docks, Forts, and at the Forest Gary is reported to of been investigating these strange crystals. Head on down there to find out more! Read the Club Penguin Times, first headline for more details.
Next up - we report on the hot sauce robbery. 2 weeks ago, Herbert broke into the Pizza Parlor and stole all the Hot Sauce. Now the EPF agents have recovered it, and everything at the Pizza Parlor is back to normal. Aunt Arctic reports:
And as we end our news report, here are a few of the many upcoming events!
On our next news edition, we'll report about the crimes, villains, heroes and the mass of pollution on the island. We'll talk about earth day, and many other things happening at the Marvel Takeover. That's all for now, our next news at ten.

Crystals

Strange crystals have magically sprouted up around the island, but why? Strange things always seem to happen at this time of year - last year, a strange meteor struck, therefore causing the protobot to start an outrageous party with super heros and villains. Could the activity of the crystals attract the protobot again? He was my favourite PSA enemy (yes, I like him better than Herbert - his plans are so much scarier) Anyway, here's a few places where I found some crystals. The crystals decided they wanted to make my pictures look nicer, so they added a glowing effect!
And yes, the crystals did attract the attention of Rockhopper! I had to hop on board and tell him and Yarr that they weren't dangerous, and he quickly left, embarrased. Next, I looked at the Dock and the crystals said that they wanted my pictures to have rounded edges!
I moved on to the Snow Forts, where I found even more crystals growing in the snow! The crystals started experimenting with different effects on the glow, and they chose a purple colour!
And then, as if by magic, they set up a lab, removed some trees from the forest and started even more experiments on my pictures!
Don't ya think they look cool? Thanks crystals for helping me with the photos :) Oh, and why are the crystals here do you think? I think they thought my pictures needed an "upgrade" - Wait, it's not about the pictures is it, it's about the crystals!

Polo Field ~ What's wrong?

Over the past few weeks, many things have been happening about Polo Field. Firstly, on the social networking site, twitter, he started to unfollow many penguins, reply to penguins then delete the tweet after and delete almost ALL his tweets! Apparently, he's being restricted, and isn't aloud to interact with us via social networking sites, only Club Penguin. Here's what he said about the twitter incident:

So today was… interesting. Apparently Twitter doesn’t appreciate it when you delete 20,000 tweets. I learned that the hard way when I had my Twitter account suspended today.
It was also a good reminder to be very careful about third-party applications. Think twice before using some app you know nothing about. Twitter allows third-party app development, but that doesn’t mean that every third-party app is automatically okay…
Anyways, I learned the hard way. I have a help desk ticket in with Twitter to look into the issue with the @polofield account.
Learn from my mistake. Don’t trust weird random Twitter apps without doing a bit of research first.
In the meantime, I am still available via @clubpenguin to share news and updates with the CP community.
I can reply to your comments if you submit them via the Club Penguin blog. The best way to connect about Club Penguin is through the official CP website.
My Polo blog here will eventually be shut down once we update the What’s New Blog to be even more awesome. The update last year was sort of a “half-way” update…
I can’t wait to share the HUGE blog update with everyone. It’s going to be so beautiful!!
Hope this helps clear things up a bit. I appreciate the concern from everyone in the community. I also truly appreciate the nice tweets from so many people.
Keep it nice. Be a great friend.
And… Waddle On!
Update: According to Twitter, the @polofield account was suspended for being an impersonator. LOL! Now that is funny.
So hopefully Twitter fixes the issue and the real Polo Field can return one day. :)

Reviewed By You: Herbert's Plan

Hey Penguins,

Last week we asked what you think is the most awesome, epic super power in the entire universe. Wow! Did you ever have some amazing ideas!! Check out what indigofire14 wrote:

I think the most awesome, epic super power in the entire universe is invisibility. No sense can be more fooled than sight! Also, when you're fighting supervillains, the element of surprise is on your side. They'll never see you coming. Ninja power!

Invisibility would DEFINITELY be useful for taking down Super Villains. Well put, indigofire14!

Now we have a question for the agents out there. ALL NON-AGENTS STOP READING. NOTHING TO SEE HERE!

What is Herbert up to?! Tell us why you think Herbert stole the hot sauce, and what you think he's planning next. We'll pick one of our favorite comments and feature it on the blog next week. If yours is chosen, we'll add 10,000 coins to your penguin account.

Thanks to all the amazing elite agents who solved the mission!

The Secrets of The Wilderness ~ Teleporting Back

After discussing many options, we finally came to the conclusion that we should wait in Polo Field's igloo. There was nothing much else we could do in the snowstorm. Atleast it was warm inside. Finally, after trying hard, we all got some sleep. I was woken up at 3:00 AM when I received a message on my Spy Phone.
"Who is it?" Bubsey Good exclaimed.
"It's Aunt Arctic! She says she wants to meet us at the Everyday Phoning Facility!" I replied.
"Wait, that's not possible!" Cliky Minty said. "EPF tech is still offline, right?"
"Um, no! It's working - we can all teleport there now!" I said. And that's what we did. One of the silliest mistakes we could of done. If we had of thought things through, we would've known that Aunt Arctic wouldn't be awake at this time. We would've known that Eric still had all the EPF technology in his flippers. We arrived in the Everyday Phoning Facility which was under construction. Nobody was there.
"Eh, atleast Aunt Arctic finally decided to fix the EPF! She said she'd do that last month!" Polo Field said.

We should've realised then, that we had to get out of there. If Aunt Arctic wasn't there, where was she? But we didn't even think once about that. Suddenly, lasers sparked all around us - we were trapped!
"So you fell for my little trick, did you?" Eric asked, magically teleporting into the room.
"What? Hey, why are you here?" Perapin said.
"Because I own the EPF now! Ever since you gave me all your technology." Eric replied.
"We didn't give you it, YOU STOLE IT!" shouted Bubsey Good.
"Well, I'll let you into a little secret." divulged the big penguin.
"And what would that be?" I said, remembering our teleporters were still online.
"I first started with a plan. A wonderful plan. I told Aunt Arctic to send her agents out into the wilderness as a test, to see your EPF skills. I said to her that everything would be under control, as long as she didn't tell you about me. I guess she didn't. Anyway, as that happened - I painted some yellow puffles in different rainbow stripes, to distract you. Then, I began to hack into the EPF's systems. Nobody noticed, except for Aunt Arctic, who couldn't call you as you were up in the clouds!"
"That's very clever." Perapin said, nudging me.
"Thank you, my dear little penguins. I shall continue now. Anyway, you all reported back to Aunt Arctic, who sent you on a real mission - not a test mission. She told you to go into the wilderness and find me, of course. But she made a mistake - EPF technology was down! And so I captured you, and then you escaped. Which was all part of the plan, by the way."
"You tricked us!" Cliky Minty added.
"Of course, young girl. The snow storm was completely unexpected, which helped me alot. Because of it, I was able to get you here, and now here we are, I guess. But there's more..."
Without thinking, I pressed the teleport button on my Spy Phone, hidden behind my back, and my team and I were sent straight to my igloo.

More random acts of kindness!

Hey Penguins!
Yesterday we spotted Leafypingu rallying to make a difference in the Club Penguin community for Earth Day. It got the team thinking... What could we do to make a difference for Earth Day here at Club Penguin HQ?

That's where you come in! We'd love your help to decide where we should make a difference right here in our home town of Kelowna, Canada.
We have three ideas:
A) Plant some trees
B) Clean up our local stream
C) Plant a garden for our local women's shelter
Which do you think we should do?
Let us know where you think the Club Penguin Team should make a difference for Earth Day! We'll post an update here on the blog after we finish.
Until then... Waddle On!

The Puffle Tree Fort

This is a future igloo! I shouldn't say igloo, I should say "fort!" It's a nice place, and I can't wait to buy one!
You don't even have to worry about choosing a background, as you get the tree one with it!

The Pin

Hey! It's that time - pin time :) It took me a while to find it, and when I did, I couldn't reach it! Club Penguin always put the pin in high places now, and they need to understand I'm not very tall!
That's why they added the new feature - click on the pin, instead of waddling to it! In fact, what is that pin?

Marvel Party Sneak Peeks!

Hello penguins!
As some of you may have heard, last week we had a few parents here in the Kelowna Club Penguin office for a 'Club Penguin Summit'. We showed them some sneak peeks, and I wanted to make sure everyone had a chance to see them. :)
Here's a close-up of the Park at the Marvel Super Hero Takeover!

And here's the Plaza! Hmm... I wonder what those crystals are for...

Of course, no party is complete without music! Wow, check out that beautiful view...

Hope you enjoyed the sneak peeks! The Marvel Super Hero Takeover starts on April 24. Hope to see you there!

Until then... Waddle On!

The Secrets of The Wilderness ~ Finding A Way Out

It was dark outside. Now was our chance. I leapt forward and screamed as loud as possible. Quickly, I grabbed a hammer from my bag (which, stupidly, hadn't been taken away from me) and started banging on the pipes in the room. Consequently, a strange gas was let out and the room was filled with smoke. I knew what I was doing. All the cameras now wouldn't be able to see what we were doing. A few hours earlier, Perapin and Polo Field had begun to build a hole in front of the door, with a jackhammer. It was very noisy, but nobody came in while we were doing it. Cliky Minty had already found the way out. It was actually very easy, escaping - all we had to do was find an exit - other than the locked door. What Eric hadn't considered, was that the rocks in this cave were already falling, and after some jackhammering and banging with the hammer, eventually we hit snow and after minutes of digging through it, we managed to climb out into the fresh air. Only it wasn't fresh. It was damp and cold - colder than ever before...
...Somehow, after a few hours of sitting in a cave, Club Penguin had been hit by a snow storm. It was crazy, but true. We had crawled out of the cave, into the wilderness. There were icicles dangling from trees, and snow was piling high. A tiny bit of sunlight crept out through the darkness. The sun was setting, and before long, it would be pitch black. We were able to escape from Eric, but would we be able to escape from the snow? Out in the wilderness, it was very hard to find your way around - especially in deep snow.
"Where do you suppose we go next?" Cliky Minty asked.
"Well, considering the options," Perapin started, "I would just go back inside the cave. It's a lot warmer in there. But that'd be giving in to Eric. We can't do that!"
"Agreed," said Polo Field, "We need a strategy."
"I guess we could just wonder around." added Bubsey Good.
"No, no no. That won't get us anywhere. We need to think practical. EPF tech is still down. That means that our mission isn't complete. We need to find Eric - HE HAS ALL THE EPF DATA!" I replied.
"Yes, I think we forgot about that. Shall we go after him? He can't of gone far, could he?" said Bubsey.
"He might have a spy phone too - and that means he could've teleported anywhere." I added.
"Don't worry guys. I have an igloo over there." said Polo Field.
"Why didn't you say so?" Perapin replied. We all quickly waddled into Polo's igloo, and sat down by the fire, figuring out which path to take next...

My Penguin App

Yes, the secret is out! There's going to be a new Club Penguin app called "My Penguin" and it will have tons of cool features. Hopefully it will be able on the app store, and then move on to android later like Puffle Launch. The first rumours of this app was when penguins who were friends with Spike Hike saw on the friends list, when it shows which room you are in, it said "My Penguin." Now, at the Club Penguin Summit the secret is out! We'll be able to do all sorts of things with the new app and this is how our penguins will look on the app...

That's Spike Hike's outfit for the Marvel Party. The background looks nice too - is that for My Penguin only? But what does the number 52 mean? 52 postcards? 52 friends requests? Interesting!
