I hope you're all as excited as I am for the upcoming scare games! Here's an update from the Club Penguin Times on what you can do to prepare your scare tactics.
To earn scare points, you'll play a sneaky scaring mini game. And you'll want to use your loudest, scariest scare! Just be careful not to get scared in the process.
There will be items for everyone. And members will get to use their scare points to purchase even more monster wear!
As rival teams scare each other for the win, new costumes will be unlocked!

CJS is coming to iPad

I've missed alot of blog posts while I was away - if you want to check them out, remember to head over to the Official Club Penguin Blog ;)

Penguins,
It's been a massive month for Club Penguin. We released My Penguin on the iPad which over the weekend reached over 1 million downloads!! Thanks for making this such a success!! We also launched the long-awaited Card-Jitsu Snow and its been awesome to see so many of you having fun with it!! The game has been played over 40 million times already and we can see lots of Snow Ninjas walking around the island.
The Card-Jitsu Snow surprises aren't done yet... this Thursday, June 6th, we will have an all-new update to My Penguin that will include the entire Card-Jitsu Snow game. You can use My Penguin to join other Penguins in the game online! Pretty cool, huh?

But that's not all – we will also release the remaining levels of Pufflescape and Puffle Rescue!
So much awesome stuff is happening in Club Penguin right now…and much more to come in this SUMMER OF AWESOME!!!

My Penguin IS LIVE!!!

HUGE news Penguins, the My Penguin app for iPad is now live on the Apple App Store. It's available for download here!!

My Penguin lets you connect with your Penguin account, style it with your items, earn coins by playing 5 minigames, and buy items from the catalog. It's completely connected to Club Penguin, so all your items and coins and are synced.
The app also has some awesome games to play including Pufflescape, Puffle Rescue, Puffle Roundup, and Ice Fishing... with more games on the way soon! These games are mobile versions of CP classics and you'll notice we added some new features and "touches" to make these games awesome on iPad.
Many of you have written in asking for My Penguin on iPhone, iPod Touch, and Android. We hear you and we're working on it! We're also working on more languages including Spainish, French, German, and Portugese (Oi Brazil!!)
But the most exciting of all is that My Penguin is only the beginning for Club Penguin on mobile. Stay tuned to this space because we will have lots of news coming about future updates to My Penguin. We have a "world" of surprises lined up for this year!!
With news this exciting, we just have to celebrate and if there's one thing Penguin's know best, its how to party!! So this afternoon at 3 pm Penguin Standard Time, join me and the ENTIRE Club Penguin mobile team online for a special celebration for the launch of My Penguin. I've also been told that some of our favorite CP characters and mods will be on the Island to join the fun!! We'll be playing on lots of servers, so let's make this the biggest celebration in CP history!

Spike Saturday ~ Fun With Friends

I just met Spike Hike on Fog for a Spike Saturday :D Firstly, I saw Ocean was online on Fog so I went on to the server, in search of him. But what I found was Spike Hike! I started in the Hero Carrier and waited there, but I saw Ocean was in the Town so I went to the Snow Forts. I knew Spike Hike wouldn't go there, so I stayed at the Villain HQ, hoping that I would get a good chance of a few seconds with him alone. And I pretty much did:

 That was his last room of his party, and so he left. Then, I went to the Iceberg, alone to edit the picture above because my friends list, again, was not working so I couldn't find Ocean or the others!While I was doing it, I gathered a crowd of my friends!

Ocean, Firepup, Sms8, Dragon, King Rose and more! That's the second time I've met Spike Hike :)

YUCK ~ Sushi?

Since the announcement of My Penguin, many of you have commented on something unusual in the screenshot. What is this plate of sushi for?!!



Is it to feed your Penguin? Or your Puffle? Or something else entirely?

Well the secret is finally out!! Sushi Drop is a brand new game that is exclusive to My Penguin. When you use the app by reading the blog, watching a video, or playing a game, you get rewarded with sushi. The more you use My Penguin, the more sushi you can collect.  Each piece of sushi gives you a turn in Sushi Drop. You can drop your sushi and nudge it by tapping to make bubbles in the water.



If you hit a fish on the way down, you earn coins. On the water's bottom, there are clams hungry to eat your sushi. (Wait, do clams eat sushi??!!) The bigger the clam, the bigger your reward.



You can earn coins and even items by playing, and the items you can win can are only available in Sushi Drop!! It's quick, fun, and a great way to earn rewards that you can use in Club Penguin!!



We can't wait for My Penguin to come out next week - May 9th - for iPad!! I know many of you are on iPhone, iPod Touch, or Android and we hope to get there one day soon.  We have lots of surprises for mobile this year in store and this is only the beginning!!!

New App To Be Free ~ Out May 9th

If you're wondering when the new app is coming out, Spike Hike mentions on Twitter that it's only a few weeks away!

I seriously cannot wait for this new app ~ I'm going to be playing it all the time, especially as we can earn so many coins on it - I've seen the games, Puffle Rescue is on there and that gives you about 20,000 coins! :)

The My Penguin App

Hello Penguins!
I’ve had a secret that I’ve wanted to share this everyone for almost a year... Today I can finally share it with you!
Some of you may have seen me show up occasionally in the Friends list from a place called "My Penguin." A few of you guessed that it may be a secret Club Penguin app on mobile... You were right!!!
I’m excited to tell you that our new iPad app is coming soon!


The first version of "My Penguin" will let you play some of your favorite mini-games, shop from the catalog, and change your Penguin's outfit . The app is totally connected to Club Penguin, so your Penguin, clothing and coins will be shared whether on mobile or the web.
That’s just the beginning, too… We'll be updating the app regularly and bringing more of the Club Penguin world to the app throughout the year!! Stay tuned to the blog for more news and updates on “My Penguin”!

The Marvel Superhero Party Is Returning

YAY! I was right. The costume from the Club Penguin Magazine, the hints and everything - it's true. The Marvel Superhero Party is returning, better than ever before. They've even changed the logo to make the penguins have the "new penguin look." Here's a message from Spike Hike:

Spike Hike at the Awards Show!

YES! I met Spike Hike at the Awards Show today, because he needed to get the gold award :D He was on server Fog for a few minutes, just watching the awards. I noticed him first and then thought it was just in my head. I looked closer, and saw that it was actually him in his costume! The pictures aren't the best, but that's because I'm on my laptop and when I get on the computer, I will save these pictures forever, and crop them too!

 I don't think Spike Hike got the silver award, but as you can see, there is a bug where your penguin on the screens will have the item it was holding before when it receives the gold award!

 Now I've met two of the three proper CP people who I think are the best: Businesmoose and Spike Hike! The other one is Polo Field, who I still haven't managed to meet yet, but he is my friend on Club Penguin :D Thanks Spike Hike for coming on, even though it wasn't for long!

New Emote Sneak Peek

Private Chat Feature

This year Club Penguin will release a Private Chat Feature! It is unknown of how this will work, however Spike Hike has tweeted this:

...Who could we have a private chat with? I guess it would be only our friends as we wouldn't want to get bullied by any other penguin. Will Club Penguin be checking all the private chats? How will it even work? I seriously can't wait, but only time will tell...

Card Jitsu Shadow To Come?

Many of you wonder if Card Jitsu Shadow is going to come. We all know that Card-Jitsu Snow is coming, that's obvious. However, the rumours of the Card-Jitsu shadow game have been around for a long time, but are they true? According to this conversation on twitter, Spike Hike replied "Snow first."  There's one very important word: First!

Does this mean that Card-Jitsu shadow will come? I really hope so! But when will Card-Jitsu Snow be released? Only time will tell...

Iceberg Sneak Peek

Transform into Dinosaurs

Thanks everyone for viewing this blog this month! I have now reached 7,000 pageviews in December 2012! What a great way to end the year :) Last December I had 3,000 pageviews.
Spike Hike has just tweeted some images of how our playercards will look like when we transform into dinosaurs at the Prehistoric Party! Woah, look at the T-Rex!

...Members can transform into three different dinosaurs. Triceratops can stomp! T-Rex can roar! Pterodactyl can fly! This is going to be the best party yet :)

Introducing Spike Hike

Another Club Penguin member has joined the Club Penguin blog! His name is Spike Hike and here is his first post:

Hey Penguins!

Spike Hike here. My real name is Chris Heatherly, and as you may have heard last week, I'm stepping into Lane's big shoes. You probably don't know me, but I've been working and playing on Club Penguin for a long time!

I first met the Club Penguin Team in 2007 when I worked for Disney Toys. When I first came to Penguin, I fell in love with what the team was doing. Together we worked on the first Penguin toy line. Billybob and I got to launch the toys in the biggest penguin party ever in New York City! We had Club Penguin projected onto the Jumbotron so that kids from around the world could join the party.

As a dad, I've been playing Club Penguin with my three kids for years. My twins even had a Club Penguin birthday party and I dressed up as Herbert. Herbert had stolen the puffles and the kids had to throw "snowballs" at him and get him to drop the sack of puffles. The kids tackled me to the ground and pelted me with snowballs!




Lane and I became really good friends and talked a lot about his vision for Club Penguin. When he asked me to join Club Penguin it was a dream come true! For the last year and a half, I've been able to work on parties, penguin shorts and music videos. As a long time player and as a dad, Club Penguin is very special to me.

As Billybob said in his farewell post, one thing about Club Penguin will never change – it has always been about you guys and always will be.
