Card-Jitsu Snow Beta Test Finale

Thanks to everyone for your help testing Card-Jitsu Snow! We found a bunch of bugs together, and they've all been added to the database for tracking. Nice work, testers!

The test will be ending very soon. Which means you'll only have a bit more time to collect your exclusive rare Snow Beta Hat! Remember, this is the ONLY time this item will be available. Tell your friends to get it while they still can!!

Once the beta test is finished, the team is going to work on some fixes and improvements. We should have the game finished in the next few months. Wish us luck!

Card-Jitsu Snow Beta Test Update

Hey penguins,
It's been a busy week here at Club Penguin, and we wanted to give you an update on the big Card-Jitsu Snow Beta Test!

We've received thousands of comments since the beta test launched last week. Thanks for sending in your comments and the bugs you've seen - keep it up!
Did you know that we track every bug we find? Bug tracking and bug squashing is a very important part of making a game! See the picture below? The red line is the number of bugs we wrote up for tracking, and the green line is the number of bugs we've squashed! Pretty cool, huh?

Here are a few of the bigger bugs that you've let us know about:
#1094 - Users seeing only background art in game if Snow player exits before loading screen
#1090 - Users are able to enter Bonus Round even if player is KO'd during game
#1042 - Music will occasionally double up in game - multiple tracks will play at once
#993 - Game occasionally "freezes" while playing - users must exit game
Great work, testers! Thanks for helping to make Club Penguin even better.
In other news... Many of you seem to be using older versions of web browsers like Internet Explorer. Make sure you have the latest version of your favorite web browser and the Adobe Flash Player installed on your computer to test Card-Jitsu Snow. And remember to ask for permission from your parent before you install anything!

We want to send out a HUGE thank you to everyone who has participated in the Card-Jitsu Snow Beta Test so far! We can't even tell you how great it is to have ninjas playing the game. And we've got tons of awesome feedback already.



We want everyone to get involved. If you haven't played yet, or if you're ready to battle again, go to our beta site now. This is a rare opportunity to test CP content before it's released, so make sure to get in on the action!

Card-Jitsu Snow Beta Test

Sure, it's not the best: but what do you expect? Club Penguin is only beta testing for a reason: to stop those penguins complaining about all the bugs when it really is released! Now they can complain, but not for a good reason! So, let's get started by heading over to beta.clubpenguin.com - but even before that, if you haven't already (like me), you'll have to update Adobe Flashplayer or install it altogether!

 Once you've typed in your password and username, you'll enter the Snow Dojo - a rough sketch of it, atleast. Your penguin will have no clothes, nobody will be in the room and you can only go to where the green arrow is pointing...

...From there, unless you've got a bug, you'll be able to choose your element - either water, fire or snow! I don't really get this: because I thought it would be a snow thing not all the elements together, but oh well...

 If you click on either of the ninjas, it'll tell you how many power cards you have, the move, range, damage, what your power cards will do and the combo. You can also switch tip mode on or off.

 Click on the arrow to choose a different ninja. This is a fire ninja.

...This is a snow ninja! I don't at all get this, because one: we haven't even become snow ninjas, and two: this is a game for all the ninjas - and they're not even wearing their snow, fire or water uniforms!

Once you've picked your ninja, you'll be faced with this screen while it trys to connect you with two other penguins!

From there, you'll enter the game and have to move on to different tiles (like chess but with ninjas and snowmen) and try and defeat the snowmen. The rest is up to you...

Pufflescape

After a few weeks, Club Penguin has finally added Pufflescape in the pet shop! There are lots of levels to complete and some need required membership!

These are the instructions. AWESOME! Have you played it?

We tested this in Beta Team and its origanal name was Rollerscape! I guess they decided to change it.

Beta Team Updates

Club penguin Beta Team have gave us THREE new games to test out.

The first game is Icebergs. You must avoid the Icebergs and try to shoot them. The objective of this game is to make sure the ship doesn't fall apart.

The next game is Goalie. You must try to score goals against the goalie.

The last game is Puffle Bowling. You must make it to the end without getting a gutterball. Jump to avoid the water. Try to score a strike when you get to the end.

Do you enjoy these games? Rate them on beta team! I hope these games turn into actual games on Club Penguin just like Pufflescape did.

Login and Beta Team Update

Happy77 here. Just wanted to give you a quick update. I've heard that some of you aren't able to log into Club Penguin, or that your Friends list looks empty. The team is working behind-the-scenes to fix these things right now. Thanks for being patient with this stuff. 

While you're waiting, I thought you might want to test out a couple new game prototypes on Beta Team!

To join Beta Team, click on this link, then enter your penguin name and password. Once you've logged into Beta Team, type list to see the file list. 

We added a couple new rough concepts there: Goalie, Icebergs and Puffle Bowling. 

Make sure you let us know what you think, and ways that we could make them better.

Coming Soon: New Chat and Friends

Hello Penguins!

Hope everyone had a chance to enjoy the Anniversary Party! Make sure you check out the new Yearbook over in the Book Room.

Last month I posted a video blog where I mentioned that we're working on a brand new Friends experience. I also mentioned the new Chat system that some of you helped test on Beta Team.

Guess what? We're getting ready to launch them both very soon! These are two of the biggest system improvements we've ever made, so we're incredibly excited to share them with you. Here's a sneak peek of the new Friends icon in the toolbar:

While I can't say too much just yet, I will say this... the new Friends and Chat will make it way easier for you to connect with your friends on Club Penguin. We'll have more info soon, so stay tuned!

Pet Shop Construction

At the pet shop, there is construction going on! Soon, we will have a new game called Pufflescape!

This was one of the first games we tested in the Beta Team!

Still more puffle hats to come...

There are more puffle hats coming to Club Penguin. If you are in the Beta Team, a few months ago they showed us lots of puffle hats. Only a few are available to buy so far. :)
