Post 1048 ~ My Trip To London

This is what I got up to on my trip to London to see the Olympics! You don't have to read it, as it isn't related to Club Penguin, but it was a great adventure :) I wrote this diary each day and I am sharing it with you. It doesn't take long to read. The photos were taken by me!
Day 1 ~ Monday
We set off to London in the morning, after we finally found our tickets on the bottom shelf. Once we were there, we entered the hotel. There was only one room, but atleast it had a TV. We watched the diving and went out to see Big Ben, Downing Street, Houses of Parliament, Trafalgar Square, Nelson's Column and Westminster Abbey. We ate tea in a restaurant and then watched a fantastic show - We Will Rock You.
It was a great show and at 11:30 we were back in the hotel and fell fast asleep.

Day 2 ~ Tuesday
First, we woke up and got dressed. Then we walked to the restaurant and had breakfast. I got mine free!  Then, we got onto the tube and went inside the Natural History Museum. We looked inside the dinosaur section. There were lots of facts about them and even bones and models of them. Look at the fierce T-Rex that moved and made noises!
We walked to Hyde Park and saw where the triathlon was being held. We got on the tube to head to the North Greenwich O2 Arena to watch the ladies team gymnastics final!
It was a big arena and had lots of places to eat. It was held up by these massive yellow poles. We found our seats and sat down, an hour before the event started.
We watched in amazement as the gymnasts performed at the arena. It was spectacular even though Great Britain came 6th.
The 4 disciplines were floor exercise, balance beam, vault and uneven bars. United States won and received a gold medal.
The victory ceromony started a few minutes after the event had finished. They all recieved flowers and bowed and waved at the crowds. However, there were lots of empty seats. Luckily for me, the one in front of me was empty so I could see clearly!

After the event, we ate some tea and then got on the tube to watch the light show at the London Eye. It was great! Then, we left and returned to our hotel, watched the Olympic highlights and then went to bed.
Day 3 ~ Wednesday
We got up at 8:30 and started packing our bags. We put them in the car and then walked to the underground. We got on the train to go to the London Eye again.
We got onto the Big Red Tour Bus and explored London. Then, we got off to  go to Buckingham Palace. We saw the changing of the guards at the palace. Then, we hopped onto the Big Blue Bus Tour.  We saw all over London, including some of the big attractions.
There were lots of big buildings that I had never seen before!  We crossed the London Bridge, saw monument, Big Ben, the London Eye, Westminster Abbey,
St. Paul's Cathedral, houses of Parliment, Buckingham Palace, Trafalger Square and much much more!
We then ate lunch and took the tube for the last time.
We arrived at the hotel and got into the car. It was a long journey home, but it was worth it!

  6. What a splendid diary, great descriptive writing and super photos too. You all had a great time didn't you / and you have made it real for us too. Well done Echo 006. I am very proud of you as well as Wammy who I think is closely related to me. I was only sorry that there was no picture of St. Paul's Cathedral as it would have brought back many memories for me. Now you can guess who I am and show them to me when we next meet up. Love from me too !!!
